Chippewa Valley Digital Inclusion Partnership

Graphic that says Bridging the Digital Divide

Are there ways that the internet and computers can make your life easier? We would love to hear from you about your technology needs and technology support that you would like to see in the Chippewa Valley. No pressure, just information and friendly conversations. The Chippewa Valley Digital Inclusion Partnership will be working with Clear Vision Eau Claire on a series of three meetings to address technology issues and start working towards solutions.

The Chippewa Valley Digital Inclusion Partnership will bring together local leaders and stakeholders to strengthen the digital inclusion ecosystem in the Chippewa Valley. The partnership will also work towards strategically positioning resources to make digital inclusion efforts sustainable now and in the future. There may also be funding opportunities down the road for organizations in this partnership who wish to organize digital inclusion projects.
Digital Inclusion is defined by National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) as “the activities necessary to ensure that all individuals and communities, including the most disadvantaged, have access to and use of information and communication technologies. This includes five elements:
•    Affordable, robust broadband internet service
•    Internet-enabled devices that meet the needs of the user
•    Access to digital literacy training
•    Quality technical support
•    Applications (apps) and online content designed to enable and encourage self-sufficiency, participation and collaboration.”
