STAMP OUT HUNGER 2026
May 9, 2026
The Stamp Out Hunger food drive is an annual, nationwide food drive organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC). It takes place on the second Saturday in May. Letter carriers collect non-perishable food donations left by mailboxes and deliver them to local food banks and pantries. The drive is the largest one-day food drive in the nation.
In United Way Greater Chippewa Valley’s service area, 17,350 individuals (11,250 in Eau Claire County & 6,100 in Chippewa County) identified as food insecure. Let’s work together to help our communities!
Make sure to mark those calendars for Saturday, May 9! We’re taking the route of reducing, reusing, and recycling plastic bags that you most likely already have at home. Every resident will receive a reminder postcard shortly before the collection date of May 9. Please set the non-perishable goods next to your mailbox for your letter carries and volunteers to collect.
Monetary donations directly to Feed My People can be made Here.
