
Device Distribution
Device Distribution will resume on July 7. Our office will be open on our regular Tuesday and Thursday schedule starting July 7. Thank you for your patience while we completed our device restock.
The United Way Greater Chippewa Valley Device Distribution Program has a goal of providing affordable computers to individuals, families, students, and workers. This program provides eligible households with a refurbished computer. We have options for Windows 11 devices ($40) or Chromebooks (Free).
Note: Chromebooks require access to the internet or hotspot for the devices to work.
Computers are limited to one per household. You must be a resident of Eau Claire County or Chippewa County. The devices distributed through United Way are sold “as is” and have been inspected by the supplier and United Way staff.
- Pickup for approved devices are at United Way's office ONLY on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8am - 4pm.

Rules
- Once you are contacted, you will have one month to pick up your device
- You must bring a photo ID and sign for you device upon picking up
- If you have an issue with your device, you must return it for exchange within 2 weeks. Please text your request to Stacy at 715.308.8542
- If you have applied for a device in the past year, you will not be approved again. Unted Way requires a minimum of one year (12 months) in between device distribution as this is a public service and we want to ensure that we have enough devices for everyone that needs one.
