'Tis the season ❄️🎄

Season's Greetings from your friends at United Way Greater Chippewa Valley!

As we close out the year, we’re filled with gratitude for the impact you have made possible. From every life touched to every goal achieved, your support has been the heartbeat of our mission.

This December, we’re celebrating the spirit of giving, reflecting on milestones, and looking ahead to an even brighter 2025. Together, let’s make this season one of hope, joy, and meaningful change.

The holidays and this time of year are hard for so many of us — whether personally or through friends and family — we have all been touched by these experiences. Remember, it’s okay not to be okay. We’re here to remind you of the resources and support that United Way offers for YOU ❤️

Thank you for being part of our impact!

When you support UWGCV, you are investing in innovative, research based and results-focused initiatives. These initiatives coordinate the work of local programs, service providers and community stakeholders in the Chippewa Valley. Each Program Partner is funded under a specific initiative that is driven by a bold goal that keeps everyone working toward the same mission.

Bold Goal:

Mental Health of Chippewa Valley residents will improve by utilizing prevention and intervention programs.

Program Description:

The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley has been serving our community since 1881 and has

grown to five locations in Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls. Through memberships and

programs we foster healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility for

people of all ages and from all backgrounds.

LIVESTRONG instructor Sherri Auleta works with a cancer survivor at the Eau Claire Downtown YMCA.

How does UWGCV strengthen your program?

Funding from the United Way is critical to our ability to serve people through our free

Healthy Living Programs. United Way funds support the wages of people who implement

the programs and help us to provide free memberships for the participants and their

families. Being able to participate in United Way Impact Tours has helped us to spread

word about our Healthy Living Programs to people who were previously unaware. Not a

single tour has concluded without at least one participant asking for information to pass

along to a friend or family member who they felt would benefit from participation in one

of the programs.

We also appreciate when UWGCV staff refer people or agencies to us

when they see opportunities for us to work together (or for someone to benefit from one

of our programs).

What is your greatest program need?

Our greatest need for the Healthy Living Programs is contributions to our annual

campaign so that we can continue to grow these programs and offer them at additional

locations.
