A Year of Change

I’m honored and excited to begin as the new Executive Director at United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley (UWGCV). I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can in the coming months, whether that be in-person or in the new virtual world we find ourselves in.

This past year has been a year of change for my family and I. I come to UWGCV after 13 seasons (and 11 years full-time) with the Eau Claire Express baseball team. I started as an intern while attending UW-Eau Claire. I primarily oversaw our day-to-day business operations during my full-time tenure. I obtained partial ownership of the team in 2016 and still serve in that capacity. Since departing the Express in February, I have worked at Festival Foods in Eau Claire as the Assistant Produce Department Manager. If you ever need a watermelon cut, I’m your guy!

I married my wife Heather (originally from Menomonie) in August of 2019 and we are looking forward to our first anniversary in a couple weeks. We adopted a dog, Toby, in September of last year and he is just over one-year-old. We’ve enjoyed fostering three dogs over the past six months through Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue in Hudson. However, we’ll be taking a break from that because we’re expecting our first child in late December!

As you can see, we’ve had a lot of change as a family in the past year, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I look forward to yet another change and the opportunity to contribute to the great work our United Way does in the Chippewa Valley.
