UNITED IS THE WAY 🌞

Summer is officially here and we're so excited to keep doing the incredible work with you! We look forward to spreading awareness, educating our community members, and meeting folks where they need us.

With each partnership, project, and story, we’re reminded that lasting change is built step by step, together. As we head into this season of possibility, let’s keep leaning into connection, compassion, and collective impact.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL GOLF TOURNAMENT FOR THE BOOKS!

37 YEARS STRONG

VOLUNTEER WITH US 🫶

The folks over at Country Jam have provided United Way Greater Chippewa Valley with an incredible opportunity to raise some funds and we need your help to make it happen!

From July 16th to 18th, UWGCV staff and volunteers will take over the bartending at High Country from 1:00pm to 12:00am with all wages and tips supporting the amazing work being done right here in the Chippewa Valley.

All experience levels are welcome and we will have leads for each team. If you're able to come join us for shifts you'll be supporting a great cause in a fun environment and gain free entry to the concerts for the rest of the day!

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU OUT THERE 🧡

SATURDAY, JULY 11 | 7:00 - 10:00PM 🎶

Join the Emerging Leaders at 2 Roots Art & Wine Gallery for a special night with live music from our very own Jade Sales and her local musical counterpart, Carlton Fowler.

These two specialize in country and pop hits from 1960 - today!

Enjoy our beautiful downtown area, delicious refreshments, and great music while learning how United Way is making a difference in our community.

This will also be a Diaper drive! So any diapers, wipes, or monetary investments will go right back into the community.

All tips will also go directly to United Way Greater Chippewa Valley to support local initiatives! Let’s sip, sway, and give back together.

Mark your calendar & bring your friends!

HEY - YOU ARE NOT ALONE 🧡

During these times we can feel a lot of gratitude and also moments of being overwhelmed.

Whether you're holding space for all of these moments or just one, please remember you're supported and never alone.

You don’t have to navigate challenges by yourself. United Way is here to help!

Whether that means finding a therapist, a local program or agency, or simply someone who will listen.

"Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month (LGBT Pride Month) is celebrated annually in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots, and works to achieve equal justice and equal opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) Americans. In June of 1969, patrons and supporters of the Stonewall Inn in New York City staged an uprising to resist the police harassment and persecution to which LGBT Americans were commonly subjected. This uprising marks the beginning of a movement to outlaw discriminatory laws and practices against LGBT Americans."

Juneteenth, a day of reflection, resilience, and remembrance. This holiday commemorates June 19th, 1865, the end of slavery in the United States, which occurred approximately two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.

At United Way of Wisconsin, we recognize that freedom includes access to opportunities, resources, justice, and support systems that uplift every person. We believe in creating communities where every person has access to the resources and support needed to thrive.
