Here's what you need to know
PURPOSE - To continue promoting financial support for our community's non-profits. We will contribute to small scale and / or emergency needs and projects across Eau Claire and Chippewa counties. These projects must serve our residents within or below the ALICE Threshold.
WHO IS ALICE? ALICE is an acronym that stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. ALICE represents the households with income above the Federal Poverty Level but below the basic cost of living.
DURATION - $12,500.00 will be released every quarter for a total allocation of $50,000.00 annually.
Please note this is a single use grant. An organization can only receive one Small Act Grant allocation per year (even with applying multiple times/multiple quarters).
REQUIREMENTS - Align with any of the initiatives of United Way Greater Chippewa Valley (UWGCV). May not necessarily be a program partner, but still needs to fall under one of our 5 pillars. If your ask doesn't align with our pillars, this will result in automatic denial. Your ask MUST be an immediate need!
OUR INITIATIVES -
Basic Needs: Residents will have access to food, shelter and medical services in their time of need.
Digital Access & Engagement: Community members will have the resources they need to access the internet in an affordable way that meets their needs.
Education: Children will enter school ready to succeed.
Financial Stability: Residents will achieve self-sufficiency through employment training and personal money management skills.
Health: Mental Health of our residents will improve by utilizing prevention and intervention programs.
WHO CAN APPLY? Local non-profit organizations only in the Eau Claire and Chippewa Counties with their 501(c)(3) identification. Current, Past, and Non-Program Partners are welcome to apply.
All applicants MUST not exceed the $2,500.00 ask - this will result in automatic denial.
ACCOUNTABILITY - We need a breakdown on how the money will be spent. This doesn't mean a full organizational budget however, we need a breakdown of what is being purchased and how much these items cost.
(EX: $1,500.00 - A new refrigerator | $257.45 - Food & Supplies) - We want to know all of the details, there is no such thing as too much information for this application.
Small Acts Grant recipients are required to show imagery for social media and UWGCV's promotional use, and will recognize UWGCV appropriately through social media, print and digital advertising, alongside any other marketing or community facing platforms.

Application Process: Every quarter these applications will be reviewed. During the first month of the quarter, we will accept applications. Then, within the second month of the quarter we will determine the projects / items we're investing in, alongside dispersing and awarding the funds throughout the third month of the quarter.
