Senn Award Nomination Form

Presented to honor an individual for their professional excellence and achievement in the nonprofit sector.

Candidates must have held a key management or professional position in the nonprofit sector for five years or more.

History

Community leaders Kaye and Steve Senn recognize the significant contribution of nonprofit leaders in the Chippewa Valley. Initiated in 1998, the award celebrates the body of work and accomplishments by professionals within the nonprofit sector.

Statements provided will be a primary factor in judging candidates. Answer questions based on the criteria below:

Leadership.
  • Successfully articulated the value of the organization and its mission to its constituents or community.
  • Established internal awareness, appreciation, and sense of responsibility for the organization and its mission.
  • Developed management or decision-making systems sensitive to the mission of the organization.
  • Recruited and/or motivated others.
Effective Performance.
  • Took actions that resulted in the organization meeting key strategic goals.
  • Inspired staff and volunteers to accomplish significant activities.
  • Developed innovative creative programs based on mission.
  • Met significant challenges to the organization’s ability to carry out its program.
  • Demonstrated long-term commitment.
 

The award winner will be selected by a panel of community leaders and will be announced at United Way's Chippewa Valley Spirit Awards Celebration in March of 2018.
