United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley (herein referred to as "UWGCV") will never sell, trade, share or rent your personal information to its merchant partners, member agencies or any other third parties without your prior consent.
Signing up for e-mail updates
When you sign up to receive e-mail updates, we ask for your name and e-mail address.
When you donate online by credit card, you must submit your name, credit card number and billing information. This information allows us to process and fulfill your donation and notify you of your donation status.
Your IP address
An IP address is a number assigned to your computer automatically when you use the Internet. We use your IP address along with other users' IP addresses to track usage patterns and improve our Website. At no time is your IP address linked with anything that personally identifies the owner of the IP address.
Other tracked information
When you submit an inquiry via our website, complete a survey, vote in online polls or any other function that uses a submit/go feature, we may track personal information you provide in our secure database of community supporters.
United Way tracks user traffic patterns with Google Analytics, but this tracking is not associated with individual users. Learn more about Google Analytics.
Community Supporters Database
UWGCV retains information provided by users in a secure database. This database may be used to verify donation transactions, thank supporters for their contributions, keep supporters informed or to solicit future donations.
We understand that most people don't want a lot of mail or e-mail, so we keep our communication frequency within reasonable limits. You may request removal from our database. All information is secure and credit card information is not held in this database. Information in this database is not shared, traded, sold or rented to any third parties.
United Way may share macro-level tracking information with third parties for various reasons, such as to attract potential advertisers and/or grant-makers and to enhance the effectiveness of the Website through consultants. At no time will personally identifiable information that you provide be shared with any of these or any other third parties.

We are most appreciative of the financial donation that you give to UWGCV. With the addition of the ability to make a donation using your credit or debit card, we realize the wisdom of having a policy in place regarding refunds.
We accept your donation on a “no refunds” basis.
We understand that there may be an occasion where, while making a donation using a credit or debit card, a mistake can occur. For example, if the submit button is accidently hit twice and a double donation is made; or if an incorrect amount is entered and a donation is made in an amount that you did not intend.
In regard to event registration, refunds are only issued in the case of cancelled events.
It is our policy to provide a refund when a mistake has occurred during the process of making the donation. You must request a refund within 30 days of making your donation via credit or debit card by calling our office at 715-834-5043 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
