United Way Newsletter

I’m very pleased to welcome you for the first time as the Executive Director of the United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley. I’ve had an energizing first 2+ weeks in this role, and I am honored and enthusiastic about the opportunity to lead an organization that does so much to help our most vulnerable neighbors in the Chippewa Valley. COVID-19 has presented tremendous challenges for individuals and organizations across the globe. I’m very proud of our United Way for making a difference in the lives of some of the most affected children in our region. Our first wave of recovery grants awarded $304,250 to five impactful projects. Some of these projects will be featured as you continue reading this edition of our newsletter. In the coming weeks we will release a second wave of funding and we look forward to reviewing additional project proposals. I’d like to thank Marc Goulet and Karen Hebert for their continued leadership through this process and also our volunteer grant review team for their thorough evaluation of all proposals. Moving ahead, I look forward to working side-by-side with our dedicated staff and volunteers to focus on developing the relationships that will help us increase the measurable impact we make. We will share our story to energize existing partnerships and open new doors for the future. I hope to connect with as many of you as possible over the coming months to learn how we can collaborate to advance the common good in the Chippewa Valley.
